Trai suggests 20 crore fee for unified licence
Telecom regulator Trai on Monday announced draft guidelines for a unified licence regime - a concept that was first conceived in 2003. A unified licence regime is a telecom licence (minus mobility), which allows the operator to provide STD, ISD, internet, and infrastructure provider (IP-1) services at a cost of Rs 20 crore. The FDI limit remains at 74%.
